My Story

About The Founder

Hi, I’m Aarav Sheth, founder of Rise and Run. I’m a varsity Cross Country and Track & Field athlete at Vernon Hills High School. I’ve been passionate about running since the summer before high school. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a love for the sport. ​Running has taught me perseverance, discipline, and the value of community. I began sharing my passion for running with my friends by inviting them to join me on runs. That’s why I created Rise and Run. I want to share the joy and lessons I've gotten from running with others and build a welcoming, fun environment for runners of all levels. Whether you're new to running or an experienced athlete, this Run/Walk Club is a place where we support each other and grow together.

Our Mission

This Run/Walk Club is a community for anyone and everyone. Regardless of what your goals are, we will welcome you and help you reach those goals. We believe that moving first thing in the morning is one of the best ways to start your day. At Rise and Run, we believe that running is a privilege; there are millions of people around the world who don’t have the physical ability to run. We run to acknowledge our privilege, and through running, we are giving back to those who aren't as privileged. We will meet weekly and help you progress throughout the summer towards whatever goals you may have. Our first run will be on 6/8 at Lake Charles Park from 8:30-10 am.
